Matjiesfontein road trip December 2016

16/12/16

On the 16 December 2016, a group of us decided to do a breakfast run. Meaning we all bundled into cars and drive to Matjiesfontein for breakfast. It was a perfect location because it wasn’t that far and it is a beautiful town, which has been stuck in time and hasn’t moved forward, since the 1800s!

We left at 6:30 pm, on a beautiful public holiday. We left with 7 of us piled into 3 cars.On the way, we had few pitstops and a few miscommunications, we finally arrived just in time for breakfast. We had breakfast in the old Victoria dining room. I have always loved that room the whole victorian look makes me want to go back in time.

So after breakfast, Kieron and I showed everyone around the town and the rooms in which we usually stayed in overlooking the river. Most of our friends had other plans later that afternoon, so we slowly headed back to Cape Town as well. It was awesome to get out of Cape Town, even if it was only for a day.

It felt so good to get out of Cape Town for the day.
