Last full day in Zambia. Walked down to the Boiling Pot this morning and went half way across the boarder post of Zimbabwe, we got a bridge pass because one can walk half way across the bridge until one has to go through passport control and get passports stamped. Seriuously I took too many photos. Then after been hot and tired we walked back to the resort for lunch and a cold beer.

It is sad that it is our last day but I am going back to an awesome semester, seeing my gran, Dan, Zoe and baby Harry. Oh, and going home to an amazing boyfriend! I cant wait to see him. It is so beautiful here.

Going on 2 sunset cruises for sun downers later this afternoon. The sunset cruises where amazing! Drinking wine and taking photos of hippos, crocodiles and birds. It was stunning and got some awesome pics.

Got back to the resort around 7:45 pm and had supper. My last pudding for the month!

Afterwards went to check Facebook and then headed off too bed early.

Zambia – Victoria Falls

12/7/2013

This morning after breakfast we went on a boat trip to Livingstone Island. Left from the Royal Livingstone Hotel. We had to wear raincoats, because we were right by the falls and we got soaked! We had to walk through mud bare foot! The rainbow was amazing, such an experience! We had lunch on the island afterwards (it was early lunch) and then got back to the main land around 1:00 pm.

Spent the afternoon chilling, buying copper bracelets. At around 3:30 pm went to the Royal Livingstone Hotel for high tea, awesome but never again! We walked there and back amongest the Impala. At around 6:30 pm went to use the internet and get onto Facebook to answer messages.

So this morning we left Cape Town at the crack of dawn to fly to Zambia. Our flight left at 7:30 am (Don’t ask) so we left home at 5:30 am to be at Cape Town International Airport for our two hour flight to Johannesburg. Then a connecting flight to Livingstone, Zambia for 5 days. The flights weren’t too bad. Landing in Livingstone was kind of painful. I hate landing with a passion. So then they mucked up my dietary requirements. Luckily for breakfast on the way to Johannesburg I got a meal from business class which had no wheat in it.

Landing in Livingstone was interesting because the airport was so tiny, but they are building a new one. Its such a weird town. A typical town in Africa.

We got a shuttle to the hotel which was the Zambezi Sun (3 star). Next door hotel was the Royal Livingstone Hotel (4 star). We check in had lunch by the pool and then unpacked.

The Victoria Falls has only one word to it “Amazing!” We didn’t get too close because one has to wear rain coats because the spray is so strong.

I then managed to have some alone time with my music and writing.

Then at 6:30 pm we went to supper (3 course meal buffet) and then after supper we turned in early.

Friday Cederberg – Easter 2013

29/3/2013

Woke up to sun for a change!

After breakfast Tam and I went for a walk to the farmhouse to buy a few items. Then half way walking back on the jeep track, my dad picked

us up to say we are going to walk to the ‘Maalgrat’ mountain pool (which is always freezing!). So we we jumped into the car and went back to get ready.

Walking to the pool was no problem. Tam and Lara actually swam. Walking back my left knee gave out. I was in so much pain! 🙁 I had to hobble back on my mom’s hiking poles. It was so bloody sore.

The rest of the day after lunch I hobbled around. The worst part was walking down hill, that is when the pain would shoot threw me. So I wrote my story and did some studying.

And then I went running, which of course made my leg worse. I did try and rest my knee, which was a laugh because I am so active.

Update

Hey, Everyone

Sorry I have been so busy the last few months, which have been hectic and amazing.

A new adventure will be updated soon. I just had another fantastic adventure in the Cederberg with family and my best friend. I will put it up as soon as I can.

I will keep you posted!

So watch this space.

Cederberg Day 3

7/4/2012

It is still raining and cold. You occasionally see the sun and a batch of blue sky. If one runs around and does other activities then you are fine.

I am now going wine tasting with my Dan and Godfery. The scenary is beautiful. There were so many at reception we decided to go back later. We now going down to Sanddrift for a drive and something to do. It is much warmer down there! I don’t mind the cold and rain to a certain extent but not all the time.

We going back to wine tasting at 2:00 pm. I think it’s slightly lifting. Had lunch then went wine tasting at Draasivee.

There were so many people in the cellar and David the owner was pouring us wine and talking to us. Then something amazing happened the sun came out from behind the clouds! It’s slowly lifting, hopefully. I am hoping to go to Stutessal Rocks tomorrow.

These are rock formations, in which the wind has blown into different shapes. There are rock San paintings as well in over hangings and small caves. The red and orange stone. It is so amazing in the blue sky and red stone.

Once we were back from the farm house, the fire was ready to go and we were making tea. We light the fire and my Dad and Godfery went to find dead trees (branches) for fire wood.

It was so bloody cold and windy and raining.

I had 3 cups of hot chocolate during 2 days, since I usual have 1 cup!

Let’s see if the weather holds until tomorrow.

Egypt Day 13

29/12/2010

Had breakfast which must be about 6:00 am since we got woken up about 5:00 am. I honestly can’t remember the time, I was so tired but I did manage to sleep on the plane, which was amazing!

Our flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town on BA was at 12h50 and land at 15h00 pm. Which were at bit late to land in Cape Town. We also had a woman pilot. The flight was full of annoying kids. I did finish reading my book on the return home.

Uncle Rupert and Uncle Clive came to pick us up in Cape Town. Oh, and our luggage wasn’t lost from Sharm to Johannesburg, because it was on the same airline but domestic to International on Egyptair. So far some odd reason wasn’t lost. If we did lose our luggage, we would have gotten a clothes allowance to go and buy new clothes.

This Egypt holiday is one adventure I will not forget in a hurry! A brilliant and interesting holiday.

So I must say goodnight now.

I will be back posting more of my adventures and trust me there are so much more to come!!

Today we had a long wait. Had a late breakfast, went snorkeling in the sea. Which I finally managed, not mad about it. The fish are beautiful. We had to get out of our rooms by 12.00 pm, so we all grouped in my parents room, which we had to get out at 2.00 pm but just pay 50 pounds extra. We then packed up and put our bags at reception. Had a late lunch and then hanged around and read until about 7:00 pm, when our agent picked us up to take us to the airport in Sharm. It was an hour flight to Cairo.

Then we had to wait about another hour or so. Our plane left at 23h30 pm to Johannesburg. Well it only left about 12:00 pm and had supper at 1:00 am in the morning and was woken up at 5:00 am to have breakfast.

We only land at 8:30 am.

Goodnight.

This morning we went snorkeling in the sea. I was kind of scared, but sore some fish which were beautiful! Had lunch in which I had a pizza which is very nice. Actually they were amazing!! Later in the afternoon about 4.00 pm, my mom and I went for a camel ride. Which was an experience of a life time.

The hotel took us to the edge of a freeway. Where we got on two camels each, lead by a guide. One got the freeway and then the desert, so the camels where at the edge of the desert. The guide lead us to a Badawin camp for an experience which they offered tourists like us tea and some traditional bread. Then as we were ridding back the sun was setting.

It felt very sad to have our last supper and pudding. Tomorrow we are leaving , to go home.
